Art tip: Scarification

Without a doubt, one of the art shows on the skin that is emerging with force is scarification. But do you really know what they are? Here is a brief history of tattoos such as these that are used today.

At first the scarification came from great tribes of Africa and Australia where elderly witches through a ritual cutting generated in people to move from childhood to adulthood. These marks on the body or face are made by cutting the skin and creating various forms once the wound heals and the scars appear. The process for doing this is simple, it marks the first lines of the drawing, without letting it heal completely, and then it is wounded again to re-open. Thus, repeated over and over again, opening the wounds. They even add more volume by giving ointments or even color.

Today, many people are taking this ancient practice to bring it into the skin just for aesthetics. We can see various designs from words to pictures. More often the scalpel is passed over the scar. This "relief" is called keloid. The good combination of small red marks also achieves original results, and there are a lot of good creative artists that offer an array of designs. Check before choosing the scalpel that will mark you for life.

It is extremely important to know that to make this type of mark, requires a competent person who is competent with the knife. Aside from good technique, the person must also maintain good hygiene. Unlike conventional tattoos that require comprehensive care and regenerative creams, scarification requires a rather careless way of healing so to speak, since it is very important that the area must have a "wound" sore or ulcer for the desired effect, which is a keloid scar, to make the desired design come to fruition.

Subdermal implants

We have previously presented to a young American (Jesse Thornhill ), who had horns with implants under the skin of his skull. These horns are best known as subdermal implants.

The origin of the word comes from the decomposition of the same: "sub" (below) and "dermal (skin). Well this is what they are: implants under the skin, but what is added and how is it implemented? Nothing more, nothing less than stainless steel.

So balls, rods, rings or small stainless steel tubes under the skin are added, causing these skin enhancements to take form of the implant. With these rings are created not only horns on the forehead, like with tattoos or body plugs , imagination is the limit. The enhancements in the skin ranging from horns to scales or simulations of animal skins and features are easily achieved.

Currently more than 50,000 people around the world have this type of art implants. So if you're somebody who really likes attention and /or be original and unique, here's this new option of self expression and style statement. Only this warning:

One, you must be sure you're not allergic to the material , because your body might reject it and thereby have consequences, and two, you must have a high pain tolerance, because anesthesia is not used for this procedure.

But, on the other hand, if you regret or you get tired of these implants, the solution is easy: you make a cut near the place where you have the implants and they are extracted. Yes, it is that simple, you just remove them and everything returns to normal (with the maximum risk of a scar that eventually may disappear).

As always, it is highly recommended that you go to a specialist if you want to do this or have other implants in mind. Do not do this extreme body modification all by yourself.

Body Modification: Interviewing an Expert

The tongue splitting is a type of body modification that involves dividing the tongue in two from the tip toward the base, in most cases this is achieved through traditional surgery (scalpel) or by laser surgery.

In some cases, prior to the bifurcation it is necessary to implement a wide piercing at the base of what will be the fork in the tongue; this facilitates the operation and the healing of the tongue.  It produces a different visual effect from the cut with a scalpel and from the one performed with the piercing.

Finally, one can say that surgery process is not strictly necessary, it is possible to get a fork of the tongue by a progressive enlargement of a tongue piercing, this process is however very tedious and painful.

The One That Didn’t Get Away

I and my buddies love camping. Whenever the weather is good enough for camping, I and my friends take out our tents with all the required things. This time we have a plan to fix our tents for fishing. We love to sit beside the river and chat. Sometime, we do not even catch the single fish. However, we enjoy talking about those fishers who caught extraordinary big fishes and made world records. These fishermen are still known for their achievements.

Catfish is a fish of fresh water and it is not easy to catch it. According to the fish researchers, the weight of the record making catfish is 646-pound. There were Thai fishermen who caught a catfish and made the word record.

Stingray is also the huge freshwater fish. Its weight is 256kg. The fishermen of Thai tried to hunt it. There were many people in their boat however even then fish gave them hard time. The struggled hard and eventually succeeded to take the fish inside their boat. They were known for catching the biggest freshwater fish. Chinook salmon is also heavy weight fish having 88 pounds.

Crabs are not very big in size. They easily accommodate in your eating plate. Red king crab is the biggest crab with 15kg weight and 2 meter in length. It was caught to give the credit to the catcher.

A giant squid was caught at Antarctica in 2007. It was 26 feet long. It is considered the biggest squid ever seen. It is preserved by the scientists and put in the museum of New Zealand. This squid seems the wonder of nature.

In 1984, the biggest marlin was caught in Hawaii. It was 17 foot long. It gave tough time to fishermen. They caught the fish in 2 hours and 20 minutes. It was caught with the help of reel and rod.

It was 11 April 1992 when Indian Ocean provided the huge Barracuda. Usually, they are found in open seas. They are killer who ambush their victims. The weight of the biggest barracuda was 85 pounds. It was very heavy fish.
